Ryedale Vineyards is one of the most northerly commercial vineyards in the United Kingdom and is a family run business in North Yorkshire, at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds near to York and Castle Howard. Ryedale was voted one of the 12 best vineyards to visit and tour in England and Wales in 2019 and regularly win awards for our wines.
All aspects of wine production from pruning to harvesting to pressing, fermenting, bottling and labelling are carried out by hand in our converted cow byre.
The vineyard has been owned and run by the Fletcher family since 2015.

We have 15,000 vines with 18 different varieties of grapes including Rondo, Regent, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Bacchus.
We use these to create a wines from sparkling, to white and red still wines.

We offer an informal, humorous and informative guided tour and tasting which starts with visitors shown the vines and vineyard, a visit to our winery and ends with sampling our wines and ciders with local cheeses. Tours run from Easter until the end of harvest in late October and can include an optional pre tour cream tea. Events are held regularly at the vineyard, including Open Days, Live Theatre and Yorkshire Day celebrations with a brass band and Morris Dancing.
